Welcome to Sigma Xi Phi

We are so pleased to have you all join Sigma Xi Phi and be part of the local and global nursing community.  There are over 500 chapters worldwide in over 90 countries.  Sigma International truly brings nurses together, especially during these difficult times.

Our chapter was chartered on April 28, 1996 and since then we have provided years of nursing care and involvement to our community.

There are several events to look forward to this year:

-Creating Health Work Environments March 24-26 in Washington DC or virtually March 31-April 1.
-33rd International Nursing Research Congress July 21-25 or virtually August 3-5.

Wondering how you can be more involved in Sigma events and with this nursing community?  Participate in our bi-monthly general members meetings.  At these meetings you can volunteer to be part of, or lead, a committee.  Learn about our internship, scholarship, and research grant programs.  Find volunteer opportunities you are interested in (TESSA, career fairs, Veteran Stand Down, evidence-based practice conference, induction planning, Pike's Peak Nightingale Awards, The Place formerly known as Urban Peak).  We have opportunities available for all interests and are willing to take suggestions for additional activities.

We have additional social media sites that will also have our events and important information shared on them.  See below for easy access links to our social media sites.  If you'd like to email us directly, feel free to contact us at
SigmaXiPhi355@gmail.com

Once again, welcome to our chapter.  We are pleased that you chose to join us and we look forward to working with you all in the future.

  • Sigma Chapter Elections

Are you interested in becoming more involved in our chapter?  Consider becoming a chapter leader!  We are in dire need of chapter leaders to help our chapter continue to evolve and grow.  More information will be available in the upcoming weeks.
  • Nurse Leader Recruitment

Do you know, or are you, a nurse leader and interested in becoming a Sigma Xi Phi member? Sigma defines a nurse leader as someone "who is a registered nurse, legally recognized to practice in his/her country with a minimum of a baccalaureate degree or the equivalent in any field and who has demonstrated achievement in nursing".

Sigma Xi Phi would love to include more of the amazing nurses in our community in our chapter! They can nominate themselves or be nominated by any of our members. Our goal is to induct at least 20 nurse leaders this year!

    How do you do this?

    1) confirm they meet all eligibility requirements
    2) write a statement about their achievement in nursing in one of the following categories: scholarship, service, practice, leadership
    3) indicate how they learned about joining Sigma as a nurse leader
    4) upload a resume/CV

Go to https://application.stti.org/#/ to complete the application process and select "I am a nurse leader". Then follow the prompts. If you need assistance, please contact any board member or message this page.

Additionally, if you know a Sigma member that is currently affiliated with another chapter, they can transfer to our chapter when they renew their membership.

Help us spread the word and grow our Xi Phi community!
